Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Croydon is seeking Level 3 Nursery Assistants to support learners in Nursery and EYFS, delivering targeted 1:1 or small group support and assisting with phonics, social development and inclusive learning through play.

Roles range from flexible part-time to long-term full-time contracts. Ideal candidates hold a Level 3 TA qualification and have recent UK primary school experience, with SEND experience preferred and a DBS on update service.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience in a UK primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, especially in 1:1 settings.
• Excellent communication, patience and adaptability.
• Enthusiastic about supporting children's learning and development.
• DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support for pupils across Nursery and EYFS.
• Support pupils with mild to moderate SEND, helping them access the curriculum.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor pupil progress and well-being.
• Support the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
