Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children in Early Years settings across Bury. You will work with experienced practitioners to develop communication, social skills and early literacy.

Role involves supporting structured activities, play-based learning and phonics, while building positive relationships in a busy classroom. Contract offers day-to-day supply with longer-term placements, a dedicated consultant, competitive pay and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in Early Years settings is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young children.
• Patience and energy to manage a busy classroom.

Responsibilities

• Support children during play and structured learning.
• Aid in developing communication and language skills.
• Support early phonics and early literacy efforts.
• Encourage early mathematical development.
• Help children develop independence.
• Assist with classroom routines and behaviour management.
• Support children who require additional help.
• Work closely with the class teacher.
