Job summary

Teaching Personnel seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Droylsden for the full academic year.

You will support pupils in EYFS/Reception, with tailored SEN assistance, help them access the curriculum, develop academically, socially and emotionally, and contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patience and building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly EYFS.
• Experience supporting children with SEN in educational or care settings.
• Patient, caring and committed to helping children reach potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within Early Years and Reception classrooms.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils.
• Work closely with children with SEN to access curriculum.
• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and wellbeing.
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Build relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
