Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Droylsden, Greater Manchester. The role covers Early Years and Reception with tailored SEN support, fostering academic and social development in a full academic year.

The successful candidate will help deliver engaging activities, support routines and build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly within EYFS.
• Experience supporting children with SEN in an educational or care-based setting.
• Patient, caring and committed to helping children reach their full potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within Early Years and Reception classrooms.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils who require additional assistance.
• Work closely with children with SEN needs to access the curriculum effectively.
• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Encourage children's independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
