Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. is recruiting an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant for a Romford primary school. The role supports the class teacher in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young learners.

You will provide 1:1 support or small-group sessions, develop early literacy and numeracy, and support social interaction through play-based and structured activities. Immediate or September start.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/EYFS.
• Previous experience in EYFS or a primary school setting.
• Genuine passion for working with children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, patient and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher within the EYFS to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with 1:1 support or small groups to develop early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Contribute to safeguarding and maintaining high standards of care.
