Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing primary school in the Bury area. You will support learning through play, encourage relationships and help create a stimulating environment where every child can flourish.

We are looking for someone patient, caring and passionate about early years education, with experience in EYFS settings and a willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS. Long-term and permanent opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young children in an EYFS, nursery or primary school setting.
• A caring and patient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of the EYFS Framework is desirable.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning within the EYFS classroom.
• Working with individuals and small groups during adult-led activities.
• Encouraging children's communication, language and social development.
• Assisting with phonics, early maths and creative activities.
• Helping to prepare engaging learning resources.
• Supporting children's personal care where required.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
