Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. is recruiting an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant for a Romford primary school. The role supports the class teacher in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young learners.

You will provide 1:1 support or small-group sessions, develop early literacy and numeracy, and support social interaction through play-based and structured activities. Immediate or September start.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/EYFS.
• Previous experience in EYFS or a primary school setting.
• Genuine passion for working with children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, patient and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply).

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Romford on either a full-time or part-time basis.

THE ROLE

In this role, you will support the class teacher within the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. You will work closely with pupils throughout the school day, supporting their learning, development, and social interaction through play-based and structured activities.

You may provide 1:1 support or work with small groups of children, helping to develop early literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills. Adaptability, patience, and a positive attitude are essential, as you will be supporting children with varying needs and abilities while ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding are maintained at all times.
