Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Kirkby, Merseyside, to support a pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition and Dyslexia from mid-September. This full-time, long-term post requires patience, resilience, and strong teamwork to help the pupil access learning and develop independence.

The role involves implementing behaviour strategies, promoting emotional regulation, and collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO.

Qualifications

  • Has experience supporting children with Autism, Dyslexia, or other SEND needs.
  • Has worked with children who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Is patient, resilient, and able to maintain a calm approach under pressure.
  • Can build strong professional relationships and act as a positive role model.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Holds relevant TA, childcare, health and social care, or education-based qualifications (desirable but not essential).

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the Kirkby area from mid-September.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Dyslexia. The role will suit an individual who thrives on building positive relationships, can remain calm in challenging situations, and is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.

Due to the needs of the pupil, experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, additional needs, or SEND is highly desirable.

The Role
