We are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced nursery in Blackburn, seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

Location: Blackburn
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
Salary: Competitive and based on experience

About the Role:
As a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children aged 2-5 in their early development. Working alongside qualified teachers and early years practitioners, you will assist in delivering a broad and balanced EYFS curriculum, supporting individual learning needs, and promoting a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework

• Work with individual children and small groups to support learning, development, and wellbeing

• Assist with observations, assessments, and record keeping

• Contribute to the daily routines of the nursery, including hygiene, mealtimes, and outdoor play

• Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years

• Recent experience working in an early years or nursery setting

• A sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum

• A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork
