Job summary

Grange School in Manchester is recruiting a Teaching Assistant Level 4 (SEN) with an EYFS specialism to join a dedicated team. The role leads targeted learning in EYFS and may support whole-class learning across the school.

The successful candidate will support children to develop communication, language, personal, social and academic skills, with a strong focus on school readiness and high expectations from the earliest stages of education.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 4 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in early years or primary settings.
• Strong understanding of child development and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support for children with SEND in the Early Years setting.
• Work with teachers, SEND professionals, therapists and parents to plan interventions.
• Deliver targeted learning activities and evaluate progress.
• Support development of communication, social, emotional, sensory and physical skills.
• Act as a key person for identified pupils, contributing to EHCPs and reviews.
• Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing among pupils.
• Create engaging, inclusive learning experiences meeting individual needs.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress monitoring.
