Job summary

The Grange School is seeking a Level 4 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide specialist support for children with SEND in the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will work closely with teachers, SEND professionals, therapists and parents to plan, deliver and evaluate targeted interventions and support development of communication, social, emotional, sensory and physical skills.

This permanent role is 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days, with a starting salary of £29,448 and a full time

Qualifications

• Holds a relevant Level 4 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Early Years, SEND, or related field.
• Has experience working with children with SEND in an Early Years or primary setting.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of child development and inclusive practice.
• Has experience supporting pupils with communication needs, autism, sensory needs, or complex learning difficulties.
• Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Is patient, resilient and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every child.
• Has excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
• Is able to work independently and use initiative when required.

As a Level 4 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress monitoring. Grange School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 4 with an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) specialism to join our ambitious and forward-thinking team.
• This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about early childhood development and understands the vital importance of building strong foundations for future learning. The successful candidate will play a key role within our EYFS provision, leading targeted groups and delivering high-quality learning experiences that support children to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for lifelong success. Working closely with leaders and teachers, the successful candidate will help ensure that all children develop the communication, language, personal, social and academic skills necessary for a successful transition into Key Stage 1. A strong understanding of school readiness and the importance of high expectations from the earliest stages of education is essential. In addition to leading learning within EYFS, there will be opportunities and expectations for the successful candidate to lead whole-class learning across the school when required, delivering engaging and purposeful lessons that promote excellent outcomes for all pupils.
