Job summary

Aspire People in Manchester is seeking a qualified Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to support Nursery and Reception across partner primary schools. You will aid play-based learning, foster early phonics, and help develop communication and numeracy in young learners.

This role focuses on nurturing confidence, independence and social skills, while collaborating with the EYFS team to maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant or relevant Early Years qualification.
• Experience in EYFS or primary school setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Confident supporting learning through play and practical activities.
• Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support children across Nursery and Reception.
• Assist with play-based learning and structured activities.
• Support early phonics, communication and numeracy development.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Support individual learning and development needs.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive EYFS environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team.
• Support daily routines, transitions and classroom organisation.
