South End Infant School in Rushden is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Support Teaching Assistant to provide enhanced support within our EYFS provision. The successful candidate will support learning, communication, development and wellbeing, enabling pupils to access the EYFS curriculum and participate fully in school life.

Working with the SENDCo, EYFS team and class teachers, you will help implement appropriate support strategies, monitor pupil progress and promote positive outcomes for children

Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting children in the Early Years stage would be desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support learning, communication, development and wellbeing of EYFS pupils.
  • Collaborate with SENDCo, EYFS team and class teachers to implement support strategies and monitor pupil progress.
  • Promote inclusive practice and positive outcomes for children with SEN.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEN Support Teaching Assistant to provide enhanced support within our EYFS provision. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting children in the Early Years stage would be desirable.

The role will involve working closely with pupils to support their learning, communication, development and wellbeing, enabling them to access the EYFS curriculum and participate fully in school life.

The postholder will work collaboratively with the SENDCo, EYFS team and class teachers, contributing to the implementation of appropriate support strategies, monitoring pupil progress and promoting positive outcomes for children with special educational needs.

We are looking for someone who is nurturing, patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive practice, with a strong understanding of the individual needs of young children.
