Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Level 3 qualified EYFS practitioner to support learning in a Morpeth nursery/primary setting on a full-time basis. You will work with pupils with varied SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD) and deliver targeted sessions to groups to boost progress.

You will collaborate with teachers to adapt to different needs and learning styles, provide consistent support at break and lunch, and contribute to a positive classroom culture.

Qualifications

• A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired).
• Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK.
• An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
• A resilient, proactive, and positive nature.
• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references that cover the last two years.

Responsibilities

Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified EYFS practitioner to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Nursery/ Primary Schools in Morpeth on a full-time basis. About the Role:

• The role will involve supporting pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The different types of SEN that pupils have may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and PMLD.
• The role will also involve delivering intervention sessions to small groups of pupils to boost their understanding and progress
• A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.
• The role will also involve supporting across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.

• The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Morpeth.

Pay, Hours and Contract:

• Pay - Between 88-110 per day
• Hours - 08.30-15.30
• Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2027. Temporary Contract.
• Start Date - 2nd November
• Location - Morpeth
