Woodfield Primary School and Nursery, part of the Learning Academies Trust, is seeking an EYFS Assistant to support children aged 2 to 4 in our Nursery. You will work under the EYFS Leader and Nursery Teacher, delivering play-based learning and supporting wellbeing.

The role involves mealtime supervision, observations, and working across the wider EYFS provision to meet school needs. A warm, patient, and team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in an Early Years setting.
• Holds an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare (or equivalent).
• Good understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.

Responsabilités

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing within the Nursery environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and their families.
• Assist in planning and delivering engaging play-based learning experiences.
• Contribute to observations, assessments and record keeping.
• Support children's personal care, health, safety and emotional wellbeing.
• Lead and support small group activities and interventions.
• Promote children's independence, communication and social development.
• Support children during lunchtime, encouraging healthy eating, positive behaviour and good hygiene practices.
• Supervise children during mealtimes and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
