Broadhurst School in London is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support learning and development in our Nursery, helping deliver the EYFS curriculum and work alongside the class teacher in a warm Early Years setting.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, offering a collaborative team environment, ongoing training, and opportunities to contribute to a nurturing environment focused on children's independence, confidence and early education.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent is essential.
• Experience with children aged 2-5 in nursery or school setting.
• Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate EYFS activities.
• Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and learning areas.
• Work closely with individual children and small groups to support learning and development.
• Promote children's independence, confidence and social skills through play and structured activities.
• Help with personal care routines, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
• Contribute to observations and assessments to inform planning.
• Communicate positively with children, staff and parents.
• Follow school safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
