Job summary

Randstad UK in Horley is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a warm, supportive team caring for children aged 0-5. You will act as Key Person, plan and deliver EYFS activities, and ensure safety and wellbeing in a lively setting.

The role requires a full Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification, EYFS experience, strong communication and DBS check. The hours run 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a competitive salary and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working within an EYFS nursery setting.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection guidelines.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person to a designated group of children, tracking their progress and supporting their individual development.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and safeguarding across the setting at all times.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues through clear communication.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor play.
