Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking Learning Partners to join an EYFS team at a welcoming primary school in Yate. You will support nursery and reception aged children through play-based activities, helping develop early language, numeracy and social skills.

You will work with teachers, families and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive environment, observe progress, and provide two years of professional references.

Qualifications

• Professional experience working with children or young people, including those with SEND (essential).
• Understanding of child development and the importance of early years education.
• Patient, caring and flexible approach.
• Enthusiasm for learning through play and child-led experiences.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to inclusion and positive outcomes for all children.
• Ability to build warm, trusting relationships with children and families.
• Calm, resilient and proactive when supporting individual needs.
• Ability to provide two years of professional references.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

• Supporting children in their learning through play, exploration and practical activities.
• Encouraging early communication, language, literacy and numeracy development.
• Promoting positive social interactions, emotional wellbeing and confidence.
• Supporting personal, social and emotional development.
• Assisting with observations and assessments of children's progress.
• Collaborating with teachers, families and other professionals.
• Helping create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
• Supporting children with personal care needs where required.
• Providing additional support for children with SEND within EYFS.
