Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking Learning Partners to join an EYFS team at a welcoming primary school in Yate. You will support nursery and reception aged children through play-based activities, helping develop early language, numeracy and social skills.

You will work with teachers, families and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive environment, observe progress, and provide two years of professional references.

Qualifications

• Professional experience working with children or young people, including those with SEND (essential).
• Understanding of child development and the importance of early years education.
• Patient, caring and flexible approach.
• Enthusiasm for learning through play and child-led experiences.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to inclusion and positive outcomes for all children.
• Ability to build warm, trusting relationships with children and families.
• Calm, resilient and proactive when supporting individual needs.

We are seeking enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Learning Partners to join the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Yate. This is an exciting opportunity to support children at a crucial stage of their development, helping them build the confidence, independence and foundational skills they need to thrive throughout their education.

About the Role

As a Learning Partner within EYFS, you will work closely with nursery and reception-aged children, supporting their learning, wellbeing and development through play-based and child-centred approaches.

You will help create engaging learning experiences that encourage curiosity, communication, creativity and exploration while ensuring every child feels safe, valued and included.

Responsibilities will include:

The successful candidate will:

• Have professional experience working with children or young people, including those with SEND (essential).

• Be able to provide two years of professional references.
• Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.

Experience within a nursery, preschool, reception class, childcare setting, or supporting children with additional needs would be particularly advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
