Qualifications

• Has previous experience working within an Early Years or Nursery setting.
• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Has a caring, patient and positive approach.
• Is adaptable and enjoys working in different nursery environments.
• Has a sound understanding of the EYFS Framework.
• Is committed to safeguarding and supporting every child’s development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children’s learning through play-based activities.
• Creating a fun, safe and stimulating environment.
• Building positive relationships with children, families and nursery staff.
• Assisting with daily routines including mealtimes, toileting and personal care where required.
• Encouraging children’s social, emotional and educational development.
• Following safeguarding policies and promoting children’s wellbeing at all times.

The Role

We’re looking for enthusiastic and caring EYFS Practitioners to support nurseries across Basildon. Every day is different—you could be helping babies discover the world through sensory play one day and supporting preschool children as they prepare for school the next.

You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children’s learning through play‑based activities
• Creating a fun, safe and stimulating environment
• Building positive relationships with children, families and nursery staff
• Assisting with daily routines including mealtimes, toileting and personal care where required
• Encouraging children’s social, emotional and educational development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
