Protocol Education Ltd in Bath is partnering with a welcoming primary school to appoint an inspiring EYFS Lead & Class Teacher. The role combines leadership of the Early Years provision with high-quality teaching to create a nurturing, play-based learning environment that supports every child’s confidence and curiosity.

You will lead curriculum development, mentor EYFS staff, monitor progress and work with parents and professionals to drive continuous improvement.

Protocol Education is working with a welcoming and ambitious primary school seeking an inspiring EYFS Lead & Class Teacher to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about giving children the very best start to their education. The successful candidate will combine excellent classroom practice with strong leadership skills, helping to drive the Early Years provision forward while creating a nurturing, engaging and purposeful learning environment.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the EYFS curriculum, supporting colleagues, and ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of learning.

The school is looking for someone who understands that Early Years is about far more than academic milestones. It’s about creating meaningful experiences, fostering curiosity and building the foundations for future success.

The Role

As EYFS Lead & Class Teacher, you will:

  • Lead and develop the EYFS provision across the school
  • Deliver engaging, child-centred learning experiences
  • Create a stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued and motivated to learn
  • Support children's development across all areas of the EYFS framework
  • Monitor progress and ensure high-quality outcomes for all pupils
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and wider professionals
  • Mentor and support EYFS support staff where appropriate
  • Drive continuous improvement and share best practice within the phase
  • Promote positive relationships, independence and school readiness

This Role Is Perfect If You
  • Hold QTS and have significant EYFS teaching experience
  • Have experience leading or contributing to the development of Early Years provision
  • Are passionate about child-centred learning and development

  • Are confident leading curriculum development and driving high standards

What We Need to Clear You
  • Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
  • Two proofs of address (e.g. driving licence, utility bill, council tax statement)
  • CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education, with any gaps explained
  • References covering the last 2 years of teaching employment
  • Overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years
