Job summary

Teach Plus is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant in Acton, London for September 2026. This full-time role supports early years with phonics, language development and child-centered learning in a diverse primary school.

The successful candidate will join an experienced Early Years team, have enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK, and participate in ongoing professional development in phonics and early years provision at a welcoming West London school.

Qualifications

• Experience as an EYFS Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
• Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role.
• Experience teaching Phonics.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate EYFS learning activities.
• Deliver targeted phonics interventions and support early reading development.
• Assist with planning and preparing stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to support children's progress and wellbeing.
• Monitor and record children's learning and development, providing feedback to the class teacher.
• Encourage independence, curiosity and positive behaviour through effective classroom support.
