The Graduate Network is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support nursery pupils at a primary school in the Ward of Yardley. This role runs one day per week from September 2026 to July 2027, offering practical early years experience and a daily rate of £85–£101.
You will assist classroom routines, foster communication and social development, and work closely with the class teacher to help children settle, learn through play, and build confidence for the next step in education.
Could you help young children settle into school life and enjoy learning from the very start? Are you looking for early years school experience that gives you a proper feel for nursery support before moving further into education?
Support children in nursery through a mix of classroom assistance, play-based learning, and day-to-day routine support. You will help children settle into the school day, encourage early communication and social development, support simple literacy and number activities, and work closely with the class teacher to keep pupils engaged, safe, and ready to learn.
You are patient, positive, and comfortable working with young children at an important stage of their development. You communicate clearly, enjoy being active in the classroom, and want practical early years experience that helps you understand how children learn, play, and build confidence from the very start.
This primary school in the Ward of Yardley offers the chance to build valuable nursery experience in a setting where routines, encouragement, and classroom support matter. You will work closely with the early years team in a role that gives you direct exposure to play-based learning, early development, and the practical support strategies schools use to help children make a positive start to school.
