Job summary

Boots Opticians in the United Kingdom seeks a Retail Assistant to be the first and last point of contact for customers on the shop floor. You will greet customers, listen to their needs, and help them find the right eyewear or service, from pre-screening activities to selecting glasses.

Based in store, you’ll work with the store team to handle dispensing tasks, aftercare, and maintain floor standards while supporting eye-tests and related admin duties.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer care and helping customers find the right eyewear solution.
• Desire to learn and grow in retail optics.
• Experience in retail or clinical environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, dispensing and collection of glasses and contact lenses
• Supporting with eye-tests and pre-screening activities
• Providing aftercare support through repairs and adjustments
• Completing operational and administrative tasks related to dispensing prescriptions
• Maintaining shop floor standards
