Atkore, a leading manufacturer of electrical infrastructure, is looking for an experienced Extrusion Setter Operator to support our Unistrut growth. You will set up extrusion machines to produce plastic products according to specifications and monitor the production process end-to-end.

up to £36,192.00 per annum

Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday: 6am - 6pm

48 hours per week

Who we are looking for:

Unistrut is looking for an experienced Extrusion Setter Operator to support our continued growth.

What you’ll do:

• Set up and operate extrusion machines to produce Various plastic products according to specifications.


• Monitor the production process, adjusting as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the extrusion equipment.


• Perform routine maintenance on the machines to keep them in optimal working condition.


• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.


• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.


• Ensure scrap and non-conforming products are kept to a minimum and disposed of correctly.

What you bring:

• Previous experience working on extrusion machines. Profile or conduit-tubes.


• Familiarity with logic controllers and tooling used in extrusion operations, training provided if need be.


• Ability to assemble.


• Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of extrusion equipment.


• Able to work as part of a team and as an individual.


• To be able to read technical drawings.


• Ability to comply with and promote Atkore's ATIRE and SQDC values
