Job summary

Atkore is seeking an experienced press brake setter to support our continued growth at our site in West Bromwich. You will set, program and operate press brakes, ensuring parts are produced to drawing specifications and quality standards.

You will maintain quality records, uphold 5S in the workspace, and engage in continuous improvement while following health and safety procedures. This role requires teamwork and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of setting press brakes.
• A good knowledge of Press Brake operation.
• Able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
• Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards.
• Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values.

Responsibilities

• Set and Operate Press Brakes and ancillary equipment.
• Program press brake and make changes to settings in line with quality drawings.
• Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate.
• Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced.
• Keep production and quality related records up to date.
• Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area.
• Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
• Performs Other Duties as Assigned

What you’ll do:

Hours of work:

39 hours per week, working a rotating shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm & Friday 6am - 1pm

Week 2: Monday - Thursday 2pm -10pm & Friday 1pm - 8pm
