Regional Recruitment is seeking an External Sales Manager for the Bedford branch of a national electrical wholesaler. The role requires experience in electrical wholesale or related electrical distribution sectors, with a focus on growing sales, developing accounts and maintaining strong customer relationships.

The successful candidate will actively pursue new business, present products face to face, and work within a close-knit team toward high standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Essential: cold calling and tenacity on phone and in person.
• Able to approach companies directly and identify target accounts.
• Confidently demonstrate sample products to clients face to face.
• Ability to build and sustain professional relationships.
• Independently plan, organise and meet tight deadlines.
• Smart, professional presentation representing the company.
• Valid UK driving licence.

My client is a National Electrical Wholesaler with well over 100 branches Nationwide. They are looking for an External Sales Manager for their Bedford Branch. The candidate will need to working for an existing Electrical Wholesaler. Or as a Sales Representative for an Electrical Manufacturer, Electrical Distributor, Electrical Cable Sales or Lighting company.

The Role of Sales Manager:

• Growing and increasing sales in the branch's geographical area.
• Continually identifying and developing new and existing business accounts.
• Developing strong customer relationships to maximise the full potential of all accounts
• The ability to not be afraid of rejection, be it on the phone or face to face.
• Working as part of a tightly knit team to achieve high standards of business excellence.

Essential Sales Manager Skills:

• Cold calling on the telephone and in person willingness and tenacity
• The ability to approach companies direct, understanding how to spot a suitable target company
• Able to demonstrate sample products confidently face to face to potential clients
• The ability to build and sustain professional relationships.
• The ability to independently plan, organise and work to tight deadlines.
• Smartly presented portraying a professional company image
