Job summary

RSM UK is offering a 12-month paid placement in External Audit for sandwich degree students. You’ll work on real client engagements, perform risk-focused reviews of financial records, and gain on-the-job training alongside current trainees and experienced audit professionals.

You’ll be introduced to client work quickly, have access to internal training courses, and may secure a place on graduate training programmes after graduation.

Qualifications

• UCAS points: 112 across three A levels (or 104 across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate).
• Placed on a sandwich degree, eligible for UK placement year.
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Proficient written and verbal communication to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls.
• Work with a variety of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large listed groups and not-for-profit organisations.
• Participate in client work from day one, gradually taking on individual project responsibility.
