Job summary

Simarco International in Witham is seeking an experienced Export Customs Administrator to join our Customs team. You will manage export declarations, transit queries, and liaise with HMRC and European partners to resolve issues efficiently.

The role requires strong knowledge of transit procedures, attention to detail and the ability to work across busy teams in a fast-paced freight environment. We offer training and a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in export customs administration and ability to work independently.
• Experience investigating outstanding Transit movements and liaising with HMRC and partners.
• Understanding of Transit guarantees and accurate documentation.
• Proven ability to resolve queries efficiently across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process export customs and Transit declarations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Investigate and resolve outstanding Transit movements and maintain audit records.
• Liaise with HMRC, European partners and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and Transit queries.
• Monitor Transit guarantee exposure and escalate high-risk cases as needed.
• Review commercial documents to ensure accurate customs declarations.
• Utilise CDS, NCTS, GVMS and TSS systems as applicable.
