Job summary

Customs Support Group is seeking a dedicated Customs Specialist to manage the end-to-end processing of import and export declarations. You will support customers, handle documentation, and collaborate with HMRC and European offices to ensure compliant, timely clearance.

The role emphasizes precision, process adherence, and proactive improvement within a fast-paced operational environment. An office-based role with a smart casual dress code and potential weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in customs operations, including import/export declarations and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of HMRC regulations and CPCs.
• Familiarity with ASM Sequoia and Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
• Good communication and documentation skills for handling customer instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit import/export declarations in line with customer requirements and HMRC rules.
• Manage customer documents, mailboxes, and records for designated customers.
• Issue and coordinate customs clearance instructions with agents and European offices.
• Ensure timely declarations to meet customer KPIs and handle multiple transport modes.
