Job summary

Envision Education is seeking an experienced Senior Leader for a short-term placement in a West London primary school. The role requires confident leadership to drive school improvement with minimal supervision and to lead SEND provision and SENCO responsibilities from day one.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader who can make an immediate impact, drive school improvement and provide strong, practical leadership with minimal supervision.

• Lead on SEND provision, including SENCO annual reviews and EHCP applications.
• Monitor the quality of teaching and learning through book looks, learning walks and quality assurance activities.
• Manage staff performance, address underperformance and hold colleagues accountable for agreed standards.
• Support improvements in classroom practice, teaching quality and pupil outcomes.
• Provide clear direction, challenge and support to staff to ensure high standards are maintained.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has substantial senior leadership experience within a primary school setting.
• Has a strong understanding of SEND leadership, EHCP processes and SENCO responsibilities.
• Is confident managing staff performance and having challenging conversations where necessary.
• Has a proven track record of driving school improvement and raising standards.
• Can work independently, make informed decisions and deliver results from day one.

This role would suit an experienced Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher or established senior leader who is ready to make an immediate difference.
