Job summary

Envision Education is seeking an experienced Senior Leader for a short-term placement in a West London primary school. The role requires confident leadership to drive school improvement with minimal supervision and to lead SEND provision and SENCO responsibilities from day one.

Qualifications

• Substantial senior leadership experience within a primary school.
• Strong SEND leadership knowledge, including EHCP processes and SENCO responsibilities.
• Experience managing staff performance and difficult conversations.
• Proven track record of driving school improvement and raising standards.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results from day one.

Responsibilities

• Lead on SEND provision, including SENCO annual reviews and EHCP applications.
• Monitor teaching and learning quality through book looks, learning walks and quality assurance activities.
• Manage staff performance, address underperformance and uphold standards.
• Support improvements in classroom practice, teaching quality, and pupil outcomes.
• Provide clear direction, challenge and support to staff to maintain high standards.
