Job summary

Masstemps is currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join a busy manufacturing company near the Walsall area. You will set, operate and programme CNC turning and milling machines to manufacture precision components.

You will read engineering drawings, select tooling, adjust offsets and carry out first-off inspections to ensure parts meet tight tolerances. The role involves grinding tasks and working to production deadlines in a hands-on, detail-focused environment.

Qualifications

Experience as CNC Setter/Operator in precision engineering.
Ability to set, operate and programme CNC turning and milling machines.
Experience with cylindrical, centreless, surface and form grinding.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust and programme CNC turning and milling machines.
Create and edit CNC programmes to meet drawings.
Operate grinding machinery including cylindrical, centreless, surface and form grinding.
Read engineering drawings and tolerances precisely.
Conduct first-off inspections and in-process checks.
Maintain tooling and equipment, report faults.
