Job summary

Pertemps West Bromwich is seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator for a manufacturing client in Wednesbury. You will set and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts in line with drawings.

Reading engineering drawings, using measuring equipment and performing in-process quality checks are essential. You will work with the production and quality teams to ensure on-time, quality-focused output.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC setting and operating experience is essential.
• Experience in manufacturing or precision engineering is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Confident with measuring and inspection equipment.
• Understanding of tight tolerances and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC lathes safely and efficiently.
• Manufacture precision parts to customer drawings and specs.
• Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use measuring equipment to ensure components meet tolerances.
• Carry out in-process quality checks and inspections.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Operate multiple machines where required.
• Work with production and quality teams to ensure timely completion.
