Job summary

Hygrove Partners is seeking an Internal Sales Executive for our Exeter branch to support the external sales team and handle inbound customer demand. You will quote, process orders and manage accounts, working closely with operations and transport to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires hands-on SAP experience, a previous internal sales or telesales background, and a confident telephone approach to build lasting relationships. Monday–Friday, with salary up to £38,000.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP experience is essential.
• Experience in internal sales or telesales.
• Confident telephone manner and relationship-building ability.
• Accurate, organised and able to handle high volumes of quotes and orders.
• Metals or distribution background welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound enquiries by phone and email, prepare quotations and convert to orders.
• Process orders end to end in SAP, maintain pricing, stock and delivery information.
• Develop and manage an existing customer base, building long-term relationships and spotting additional sales opportunities.
• Support the external sales team with quotations, follow-ups and account administration.
• Coordinate with operations and transport to align stock, processing and delivery schedules.
• Resolve customer queries and delivery issues, keeping customers informed.
• Contribute to branch targets and foster a team-first office culture.
