Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel is seeking an Executive Head Housekeeper to lead a high-performing housekeeping team and uphold five-star standards across 170 bedrooms and public spaces.

You’ll drive operations, safety, and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment, with weekends and flexible hours as part of a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive housekeeping experience in a hotel.
• Supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with passion for perfection.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and hotel PMS.

The Opportunity

As our Executive Head Housekeeper, you'll be the driving force behind the immaculate presentation of our hotel - from our 170 beautifully designed bedrooms to our inviting public spaces. You'll lead, motivate, and inspire a dedicated housekeeping team to deliver flawless standards and unforgettable guest experiences, every single day.

This isn't a role for the faint-hearted. It's for a hands-on leader who loves a challenge, can think fast under pressure, and has the stamina to maintain five-star standards day after day. You'll lead, inspire, and motivate a dedicated team, balancing operational demands, tight deadlines, and high expectations - all while ensuring every guest experiences excellence.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week, 5 days over 7) including weekends - ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end hospitality environment.

What you'll be doing

What you bring

• 5+ years of progressive housekeeping experience in a hotel setting, including supervisory or managerial roles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A genuine eye for detail and passion for perfection.
• Sound knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems.
• Flexibility to support operations during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive, can-do attitude that inspires those around you.
