Job summary

Novo Executive Search is seeking an exceptional Operations Director for a leading Midlands fleet services business. The role sits on the Executive Leadership Team and focuses on fleet performance, service delivery and profitability, with autonomy and strategic influence.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in fleet management, contract hire, leasing, rental or vehicle services, with strong commercial judgement.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience within fleet management, contract hire, leasing, rental or vehicle services.
• Experience managing or supporting substantial truck, van, LCV, car or mixed vehicle fleets.
• Proven track record of improving fleet availability, utilisation, efficiency and financial performance.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing operational teams within complex, service-led or asset-intensive environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Executive Leadership Team and shape operational strategy for fleet performance and profitability.
• Drive improvements in fleet availability, utilization and service delivery.
• Develop high-performing teams and implement new approaches to improve performance.
• Balance strategic direction with hands-on leadership across field and client visits.
