Job summary

Duval Associates Ltd - Permanent Recruitment Specialists seeks a Fleet Ops Manager in Darlington, offering a hybrid 35-hour week with a £50,000 base salary and superb benefits. You’ll own the full vehicle lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal, and lead a small team while ensuring compliance and cost-effective procurement.

You’ll manage a fleet of ~103 vehicles across three group companies, coordinate maintenance, and drive FORS compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fleet/transport experience; manage fleet lifecycle end-to-end.
• Lead drivers, managers, suppliers and senior leaders with confidence.
• Ensure compliance: tax, MOT, insurance, licences; FORS is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Run the fleet management system and keep records for all vehicles, drivers and fuel cards.
• Buy and negotiate fleet vehicles; review supplier agreements for best deals.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, replacements and hire; keep fleet right-sized.
