Executive Assistant Opportunity at a High-Growth Investment Firm

This role is not for Talentful but for one of our clients

Join a well-resourced and ambitious investment management firm in the UK, backed by substantial private capital. Founded recently, we operate in the UK and European equities markets with a focus on leveraging data and technology for a competitive edge. This is an exciting time to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and tech-savvy Executive Assistant with financial administration acumen to provide comprehensive support primarily to the Founder and potentially the wider investment team. This crucial role will be integral to the smooth and efficient running of the business, including key financial processes. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess outstanding communication skills, are comfortable utilising technology (including low-code tools) for productivity, and have experience with core finance/accounting tasks, we encourage you to apply. The competitive salary reflects the high expectations and the vital contribution of this position to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative and personal support primarily to the Founder, including complex diary management and handling confidential information.
  • Manage key financial administration tasks such as billing, invoicing (accounts payable and receivable), payment processing, and expense management.
  • Take ownership of and optimise the small finance function.
  • Utilise and potentially implement low-code automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Make) to streamline administrative and financial workflows.
  • Act as a central point of contact, managing correspondence and drafting professional communications.
  • Organise all aspects of internal and external meetings and comprehensive travel arrangements.
  • Oversee general office administration and document management, including financial records.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2-10 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Senior Administrator, or Office Manager, preferably within financial services, technology, or another demanding professional environment.
  • Proven experience handling core financial administration tasks (invoicing, expenses, payments).
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (GSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with or a strong aptitude for learning low-code/no-code automation tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Superior time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and resourceful approach with a strong work ethic and high levels of integrity.
  • A strong accounting background or relevant qualification (e.g., AAT).
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and payment platforms (e.g., Revolut).
  • Experience supporting C-suite executives or founders.
  • Experience working in a start-up or high-growth company.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary (£50k-£60k) reflecting the importance of the role, with significant variable compensation potential (1-2x salary).
  • A unique opportunity to be a key member of a well-funded and rapidly growing investment management firm.
  • A dynamic and tech-focused working environment where your skills in administration, finance, and automation will be highly valued.
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and the investment process.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health and dental.
