Job description

We are urgently recruiting Exam Invigilators to join our pool of staff ahead of Summer exams in our Secondary Schools.

Supporting Secondary Schools in the Birmingham area, we are looking for casual staff who can provide exam cover on a flexible basis between 8am and 4pm.

All bookings are guaranteed to be a minimum of 3 hours per day, with around 5 shifts per week.

The Role of an Exam Invigilator includes:

• Conducting examinations in accordance with JCQ, awarding body, and school instructions.
• Upholding the integrity of the examination process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the exams officer in securing exam papers and materials before, during, and after exams.
• Assisting in setting out exam rooms as instructed.
• Admitting candidates into exam rooms.
• Supporting the exams officer in seating, instructing, and distributing exam papers to candidates.
• Dealing with candidate queries.
• Supervising candidates throughout exams, maintaining vigilance.
• Minimizing disruptions and handling emergencies or irregularities effectively.
• Recording and reporting disruptions or irregularities.
• Completing attendance registers.
• Supporting in collecting exam scripts and securely returning all exam materials.
• Dismissing candidates at the end of exams.

This is a casual role with a full exam timetable and shifts provided in advance. Full, free training is provided to successful applicants. Applicants must have UK Right to Work and hold an enhanced DBS, or be willing to apply for one at a cost of GBP 55. We can support with DBS applications.

Additional roles such as Lunchtime Cover, Catering, and Admin are available for suitable candidates.
