The Guinness Open Gate Brewery London is a new Guinness neighbourhood in London that will inspire the best in brewing, food, retail, and culture. Covering 52,000 square feet of heritage buildings and a central courtyard in Covent Garden, GOGBL will become a key growth driver for Guinness, positioning the brand in culture, driving relevance, and enhancing brand saliency among a new generation of drinkers. Guinness is the biggest market globally and has experienced exceptional growth, with a 50% increase since 2019, reaching historic highs in value, volume, and market share.

Location

Key elements of the site include:

  • Iconic Guinness Gates as the main entrance, offering cultural impact in central London.
  • Restaurants, taproom, and bars with world-class food and beer.
  • An all-weather historic courtyard with a top-tier bar experience.
  • Retail spaces, including collaborations for short-term brand items.
  • A bespoke 5th-floor glass rooftop for dining and drinking, offering new views of London.
  • Brewery and beer tasting tours.
  • A cultural events space equipped for world-class meetings and conferences.

You will be responsible for :

  • Welcoming visitors at the front of house.
  • Maximizing capacity while ensuring a 5-star guest experience.
  • Managing IS Systems and Secutix / Compliance.
  • Leading a focused admissions team handling approximately 1.6 million visitors annually.
  • Ensuring compliance with cash/card procedures, including handling and reconciliation.
  • Overseeing the complimentary ticket process.
  • Providing shift leadership during peak times to ensure staffing and safety across seven floors, complying with legislative requirements and maintaining health and safety standards.

Key Stakeholders

The role reports to the Sales & Marketing Director, GOGBL, and involves close collaboration with colleagues responsible for growth strategies within Guinness and the wider Diageo GB team.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Experience in a hospitality business with high pre-booked activity.
  • Experience managing a pre-booking team.
  • Proven ability to meet pre-booking targets.
  • Experience in a multi-faceted hospitality environment.
  • Ability to establish, deliver, and measure service standards.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems.
