Job summary

Glasgow City Council and Arms Length Organisation is recruiting an Assistant Group Manager (Events) to lead the Events Team within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability. You will develop, implement and deliver event provision, coordinating roads, cleansing and parks services.

You will manage permissions to use parks, oversee a core team, monitor Health and Safety, supervise budgets, and report on outcomes.

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent in Events Management and Health and Safety training.
• Degree or working towards a degree relevant to the post (desirable).
• Full, current UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and deliver event provision including coordination of roads, cleansing and parks services.
• Oversee the "Permission to Use" process for events in parks and open spaces.
• Manage a core team of officers and govern event permissions and conditions.
