Company: GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL AND ARMS LENGTH ORGANISATION

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager within GCC Financial Services. Based within Corporate Finance, the post will be responsible for managing a team of staff delivering all statutory and operational reporting requirements, development of programmes and the provision of financial advice and guidance.

This post will support the delivery of the City Deal programme, covering key activities including annual estimates, annual accounts and monitoring, and reporting through the governance structure associated with the programme. In addition to the essential qualifications listed, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in leadership, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with senior officers and Elected Members. The ability to command the confidence of staff and key stakeholders through professional character and integrity is essential, as is a firm understanding of project management and resource planning.
