Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking well-presented, reliable Event Supervisors to join our matchday security team at Turf Moor Stadium, home of Burnley FC. The role requires leadership of a staff team and ensuring safety and high standards during events.

Ideal candidates are 18+, hold Level 2 Spectator Safety (Level 3 preferred), and can commit to most home fixtures. Experience in security or stewarding is advantageous, with a professional appearance and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work at least 75% of home fixtures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; smart, professional appearance.
• Previous security or stewarding experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as dedicated radio holder for your zone/sector.
• Lead and motivate a team of event staff (SIA & Stewards).
• Manage searches for persons and bags at entry points.
• Respond to crowd management issues and security incidents.
• Support with ejections and interventions as needed.
• Liaise with Safety Officer and attend pre-event briefings.
• Set an example in customer service and professional standards.

The role

Carlisle Support Services is seeking well-presented, reliable, and proactive Event Supervisors to join our matchday and event security/stewarding team at Turf Moor Stadium- Home to Burnley Football Club

• Location: Turf Moor- Home of Burnley FC (BB10 4BX)
• Pay: £15.25 per hour
• Hours: Casual shifts for football and ad-hoc events (usually 5-7 hours long)

Football events primarily take place on evenings and weekends.

As a Event Stewarding Supervisor, you will lead and motivate a team of Event staff (SIA and Stewards), ensuring the safety, security, and enjoyment of all staff and visitors at the venue. You’ll be responsible for delivering a 5-star service in line with the venue’s licensing conditions and high standards.

Core responsibilities include:

• Acting as the dedicated radio holder for your zone or sector
• Managing search teams for persons and bags at entry points
• Responding to crowd management issues and security incidents
• Supporting with ejections and interventions where needed
• Liaising with the client’s Safety Officer and attending pre-event briefings
• Leading by example in customer service and professional standards

The ideal candidate

Essential:

• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum of Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to working at least 75% of home fixtures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSmart, professional appearance
• Previous security or stewarding experience

Desirable:

• Prior supervisory experience within events or stadiums
• Level 3 Spectator Safety qualification or willingness to achieve this (funded)
• Willingness to work at other Carlisle venues such as Huddersfield Town,Leeds United, Manchester Central, Anfield Stadium and M&S Bank Arena
