Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking well-presented Event Supervisors for matchday and event security at Turf Moor, Burnley. You will lead a team of SIA-licensed operatives, ensuring safety and excellent service for staff and visitors during football and ad-hoc events.

Requirements include a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence, Level 2 Spectator Safety, and willingness to work 75% of home fixtures. Excellent communication and professional appearance are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage search teams for persons and bags at entry points.
• Respond to crowd management issues and security incidents.
• Support with ejections and interventions where needed.
• Liaise with the client’s Safety Officer and attend pre-event briefings.
• Lead by example in customer service and professional standards.

The role

Carlisle Support Services is seeking well-presented, reliable, and proactive Event Supervisors to join our matchday and event security/stewarding team at Turf Moor Stadium- Home to Burnley Football Club

• Location: Turf Moor- Home of Burnley FC (BB10 4BX)
• Pay: £15.25 per hour
• Hours: Casual shifts for football and ad-hoc events (usually 5-7 hours long)

Football events primarily take place on evenings and weekends.

As a Matchday Security Supervisor, you will lead and motivate a team of SIA-licensed operatives, ensuring the safety, security, and enjoyment of all staff and visitors at the venue. You’ll be responsible for delivering a 5-star service in line with the venue’s licensing conditions and high standards.

Core responsibilities include:

• Acting as the dedicated radio holder for your zone or sector
• Managing search teams for persons and bags at entry points
• Responding to crowd management issues and security incidents
• Supporting with ejections and interventions where needed

Liaising with the client’s Safety Officer and attending pre-event briefings

Leading by example in customer service and professional standards

The ideal candidate

Essential:

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum of Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to working at least 75% of home fixtures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Smart, professional appearance
• Previous security or stewarding experience

Desirable:

• Prior supervisory experience within events or stadiums
• Level 3 Spectator Safety qualification or willingness to achieve this (funded)
• Willingness to work at other Carlisle venues such as Huddersfield Town,Leeds United, Manchester Central, Anfield Stadium and M&S Bank Arena
