Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking well-presented, reliable Event Supervisors to join our matchday security team at Turf Moor, home of Burnley FC. You will lead a team of SIA-licensed operatives, manage crowd safety, conduct searches at entry points, and respond to incidents while delivering high standards in line with licensing conditions.

Evening and weekend shifts are common, with casual hours typically 5–7 per shift.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification.
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to 75% of home fixtures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Smart, professional appearance.
• Previous security or stewarding experience.
• Level 3 Spectator Safety qualification or willingness to achieve this (funded).
• Willingness to work at other Carlisle venues.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the dedicated radio holder for your zone or sector.
• Managing search teams for persons and bags at entry points.
• Responding to crowd management issues and security incidents.
• Supporting with ejections and interventions where needed.
• Liaising with the client's Safety Officer and attending pre-event briefings.

The role

Carlisle Support Services is seeking well-presented, reliable, and proactive Event Supervisors to join our matchday and event security/stewarding team at Turf Moor Stadium- Home to Burnley Football Club

• Location: Turf Moor- Home of Burnley FC (BB10 4BX)
• Pay: £15.25 per hour
• Hours: Casual shifts for football and ad-hoc events (usually 5-7 hours long)

Football events primarily take place on evenings and weekends.

As a Matchday Security Supervisor, you will lead and motivate a team of SIA-licensed operatives, ensuring the safety, security, and enjoyment of all staff and visitors at the venue. You'll be responsible for delivering a 5-star service in line with the venue's licensing conditions and high standards.

Core responsibilities include:

• Acting as the dedicated radio holder for your zone or sector
• Managing search teams for persons and bags at entry points
• Responding to crowd management issues and security incidents

The ideal candidate

Essential:

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum of Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to working at least 75% of home fixtures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Smart, professional appearance
• Previous security or stewarding experience

Desirable:

• Prior supervisory experience within events or stadiums
• Level 3 Spectator Safety qualification or willingness to achieve this (funded)
• Willingness to work at other Carlisle venues such as Huddersfield Town,Leeds United, Manchester Central, Anfield Stadium and M&S Bank Arena
