Position Details

• Location: Bath City Centre
• Shift: Saturday 27th December 2025 and Saturday 03rd January 2026
• Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Crowd Management: As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all visitors at the sports ground. Your responsibilities include managing crowds, directing people to their seats, and addressing any concerns or incidents calmly and professionally.
• Safety and Security: Vigilantly monitor the sports ground for any safety hazards or security concerns. You will be the first point of contact in the event of an emergency, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that any issues are reported promptly to the appropriate authorities.
• Customer Service Excellence: Provide a high level of customer service by assisting patrons with inquiries and offering clear directions to various facilities within the sports ground. Your approachable and friendly demeanour will enhance the overall experience for attendees.
• Event Coordination: Collaborate closely with the event management team to ensure seamless operations throughout the event. You will be responsible for communicating effectively with team members, responding to radio calls, and executing tasks efficiently to support the smooth running of the event.
• Post-Event Duties: Assist in the orderly exit of patrons, ensuring that all safety measures are adhered to during dispersal. Conduct a thorough sweep of the venue to ensure all areas are clear and any lost property is reported to the management team.

Requirements

• Strong Communication Skills: Both verbal and written, to effectively interact with visitors and team members.
• Ability to Work Under Pressure: Remain calm, collected, and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Punctuality and Reliability: Ensure timely arrival for shifts and dependable performance of responsibilities.
• Previous Experience: Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
