Leeds United Football Club is seeking a Chief Steward to work with the Safety Officer and ensure the safety plans are carried out in the stadium. You will oversee steward quality and the deployment of Agency staff. Attend pre-event briefings, supervise staff, perform safety checks, and report to Event Control.

Coordinate evacuation procedures and liaise with Safety Manager. Requires NVQ 4 or equivalent, ACT/SCAN training, strong communication, prior supervision at large events, and strict GDPR

Qualifications

• Must be trained to NVQ 4 or equivalent.
• Complete ACT training/SCAN.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous supervisory experience at a large-scale event.
• Excellent customer service and the ability to multi-task.
• Adherence to confidentiality and GDPR requirements.

Responsabilités

• Attend pre-event planning and briefing sessions, and hold pre- and post-event briefings.
• Control and co-ordinate event staff and safety in specific areas of the venue, monitoring all staff before, during and after events.
• Ensure the Safety Certificate and Ground Regulations are met, carry out safety checks, and report to Event Control.
• Supervise logistics and equipment for the event, ensuring adequate supplies, equipment and staff are on site.
• Brief and instruct teams, debrief managers/supervisors, and compile concise reports for the Safety Officer/Event Manager.
• Be responsible for the safety, health and comfort of spectators and staff, including removing disruptive customers and responding to emergencies.
• Allocate and manage deployment of Supervisors, Stewards and Security Staff for specified roles, and brief managers/supervisors.
• Liaise with other Supervisors and the Safety Officer/Event Manager, reporting event information to stakeholders.
• Know the location of first aid equipment, emergency methods, signals, and report defects to the Control Room.
• Coordinate evacuation of the ground according to plans, and complete required records.
• Deal with disciplinary issues and GDPR-compliance in line with Club policies.
• Attend Club at advised dates and undertake CPD and training as required.
