£37,000 + Bonuses + Benefits

London 1-2 days office per week – International Travel *

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced event operations professional with 2-3 years’ experience to join a fast-growing premier digital news, intelligence platform and events business that operates in the UK and the USA.

The Operations Manager will take specific responsibility for overseeing all logistical aspects across the types of events and marketing services we run including conferences, awards, breakfast briefings, roundtables and video.

The role will include liaison with venues and suppliers, along with budget management and on-site management (including managing delegate registration and customer experience). The role will require a dynamic individual with prior event operations experience capable of excelling in a forward-facing role managing and liaising with suppliers, venues, clients and attendees and who is looking for a role in a growth environment and ready for their next challenge. International travel to the USA and Europe is a requirement of the role.

The successful candidate will be a proven achiever, have outstanding communication and organisational skills, demonstrate ability to manage and stay within budgets, have a keen eye for detail and importantly relish being the first point of contact for many of our network before during and immediately after the events.

Key attributes required to fulfil the position’s remit and responsibilities in this demanding environment include:

  • Ability to balance needs of all stakeholders and to prioritise accordingly
  • Supervisory skills, ability to delegate and outsource appropriately
  • Problem-solving and creativity
  • Experience of using Canva preferable
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM systems
  • Experience of proofreading
  • Budget management and cost control
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, determined and ambitious
  • Exceptional ability to multi-task
  • Collaborative with other peers across the business in other functions
  • A good communicator who can engage different audiences through multiple channels
  • Highly organised, able to work under pressure to deadlines
