Job description

Searcys is looking for an Event Operations Manager to work at our prestigious venue, 116 Pall Mall - Institute of Directors. As an Event Operations Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of daily events within the venue.

116 Pall Mall is a stunning Georgian venue dating back to 1820 in the heart of London, originally designed by John Nash. It features a variety of decadent event spaces and is one of our flagship sites.

Job Type: Full Time, mostly Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £45k per year including TRONC

Primary focus on assisting the Deputy General Manager to deliver seamless service in the Events Department.

Key Duties:

  1. Plan, organise, and execute all events in the department
  2. Coordinate with kitchen, reception, sales, and other departments
  3. Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded
  4. Brief and oversee the events team during events
  5. Greet clients and ensure event setup meets their requirements
  6. Manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure high standards
  7. Lead and develop the events team, ensuring standards and continuous improvement
  8. Train staff and ensure compliance with department standards
  9. Handle customer complaints courteously and effectively
  10. Maintain health and safety standards through regular checks
  11. Monitor and control beverage and stock levels
  12. Manage staffing schedules and labor costs
  13. Oversee cash handling procedures
  14. Recruitment and personnel procedures adherence
  15. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  16. Drive innovation and development within the operations department
  17. Maintain excellent product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends
  18. Lead by example with professionalism and initiative
  19. Support team collaboration and customer care excellence
